The use of ICT techniques in learning and teaching has a very
positive influence on a student’s learning capabilities as well. It is
established that students reflect in a very positive manner towards work and
education when they are using computers to complete tasks given to them,
encouraging and motivating them to soak in the knowledge. Students who used
technology to learn in school have an increased self-esteem and
self-confidence.
Similarly
I also learnt how to use computer to grasp the information and the benefits of
ICT. In the first week of second session, we learnt about ICT integration in
teaching and learning in the classroom. After learning the integration of ICT in the classroom,
I came to know that there are different types of tools to enhance learning. ICT
is also used in teaching and learning in
order to enhance our knowledge and it is a powerful tool to help learner access
vast knowledge resources. It also helps us to motivate our learning by using the
technology which saves our time, make our work faster and easier. Technologies tools
like video, computer and mobile help us to communicate easily without taking
much time.
ICT
helps the student to develop thinking skills where they can think creatively
and also helps to achieve the objectives
of the lesson effectively. In order to make the learner more active mode, there should be ICT integration in
schools like a projector in class and
computer set to make the learner to work on
their own. ICT in the classroom has many advantages like it helps better in
teaching and learning like it makes classroom interactive and lesson enjoyable.
Moreover teacher can easily explain complex instruction and ensure students
comprehension.
When
technology is integrated into lesson students are expected to be more
interested in subjects they are studying. Technology provides different
opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable. Technology can help to
encourage active participation in the classroom which is very important to
increase knowledge retention. It also encourages individual learning, no one
learns in a same way because of different learning styles and different
abilities. Technology provides great opportunities for making learning more
effective for everyone with different needs. Being as a college students I also
learn much better when I used ICT.
